Terms and Conditions for DataFast
Effective Date: February 15, 2026
Welcome to DataFast (https://datafa.st). By using our website and services, you agree to comply with the following terms.
1. Overview
DataFast is a product analytics tool designed for entrepreneurs to gain insights into their startups. Users can connect one or more websites to their DataFast account, and the platform provides dashboards that display analytics data — including pageviews, custom goals, and payment events — in real time. Users can sign up for a free trial, after which a subscription is required for continued use.
2. Accounts
To use DataFast, you must provide accurate information, including your name and payment information. By subscribing, you agree to pay any applicable fees.
3. Free trial & subscriptions
New users are eligible for a 14-day free trial. After the trial period, a subscription is required to access DataFast's features. If no subscription is started after the free trial, your dashboard will be locked and all user analytics and collected data will be deleted 7 days after the trial period ends.
4. Events, usage, and plan limits
What counts as an event. An "event" is any data point tracked by the DataFast script installed on your website(s). This includes pageviews, payment events, free trial sign-ups, and custom goals. All event types are counted equally toward your plan's monthly event limit.
How events are counted. Events are counted across all websites connected to your account during your current monthly billing cycle. For yearly subscriptions, usage is still measured in monthly cycles. Events from all of your connected websites are aggregated into a single total.
Plan commitment. By selecting a plan, you commit to keeping your usage within the monthly event allowance included in that plan. Each plan specifies a maximum number of events per month (e.g., 10k, 100k, 200k, 500k, 1M, 2M, 5M, 10M, or 10M+).
No data loss. DataFast continues to record all events even if you exceed your plan limit. We do not discard, throttle, or stop tracking events under any circumstances. Your data is always preserved.
What happens when you exceed your plan limit. If your total events in a billing cycle exceed the limit of your current plan:
- Warning at 75%: When you reach 75% of your plan limit, we will notify you by email so you can take action before the limit is reached.
- Dashboard locked at 100%: Once you exceed your plan's event limit, your dashboard will be locked. You will not be able to view your analytics until the excess usage is resolved.
- Events continue to be tracked: Even while your dashboard is locked, DataFast continues to track and store all events. No data is lost.
- Unlocking your dashboard: To regain access, you must upgrade to a plan that covers your current event usage for that billing cycle. You cannot select a plan with an event limit lower than your actual usage.
- Downgrading later: You may downgrade your plan at any time in the future if your usage drops. However, since subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis, you are responsible for covering any excess usage that occurred during the current cycle before downgrading.
5. Websites and plan features
Each plan type determines the number of websites and team members you can connect to your account. If you reach the limit for your current plan, you will need to upgrade to add more websites or team members.
6. Data collection
We do not collect personal data such as names or emails from your website visitors. However, DataFast collects non-personal data including cookies and IP addresses to provide analytics services and improve the user experience. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
